Park, Robert (Sparky)
Passed away at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Thursday January 26, 2012. Robert D.(Sparky) Park of Ailsa Craig ON. Bob is survived by his cousins and friends who will miss this " one of a kind " gentleman. Visitation will be held at the T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig ON., on Monday January 30, 2012 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am with Rev. David Mitchell officiating. Interment to follow in Nairn Cemetery . Donations in memory of Bob to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

Acs, Louis
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful man, Louis Acs of Strathroy on January 25, 2012 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital at the age of 79. Louis is survived by a much loved son Louis Acs Jr. (Aniko) of Edmonton. Dear grandfather of Michelle, Darrelle and Nicole. Missed by his loving friend Mary Hessler and her family David (Lynn), Robert (Christina) and Christopher Hessler, and adoring papa to Jeffrey. Louis is also survived by his sister Klara (Joe) and sister-in-law Ili, nephews, nieces in Hungary, cousins in the USA and a special friend Edith. Predeceased by his parents and two brothers in Hungary. Louis immigrated to Canada in 1956, eager to make a new life and take on challenges. He worked in Hamilton while trying to master the English language. Louis was not afraid of hard work or long hours, working on the pipeline in Kenora and Drydon, surviving the harsh winters in his new homeland. He eventually ended up in Strathroy where he worked at a job he loved for 38 years at Streamline Copper and Brass, 28 years as plant supervisor, until his retirement. Louis loved the VON day program where he met many new friends. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday from 1-2 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Ostrander Funeral Home, Tillsonburg on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 2 p.m.with Father Tom Ferrera. Visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow in Tillsonburg Cemetery. In memory of Louis, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, VON Middlesex or charity of choice.

(Tugwell) Sayed, Ayan
Ayan was a special 16 year old lady, born to Awatif Sayed and living with treatment foster parents Gord and Debbie Tugwell. Ayan completed this part of her journey with Debbie at her side and went on to continue the second part of her journey with our Lord, who was Ayan’s strength, peacefully on January 23rd, 2012. Visitation will be at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday, January 27th, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral service will be at Bethel Baptist Church, Strathroy on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 at 11 am. Ayan will be sadly missed by family and friends in Strathroy, London, and Edmonton. Many thanks for the ongoing care and support that Ayan received from the London Health Sciences Centre, especially Dr. Filler, Dr. Grimmer, and Dr. Sharma from Pediatric Nephrology, the Adam Linton Dialysis Unit, and the Home Hemodialysis Unit. Donations to the Kidney Foundation or to the Child Life at Victoria Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

Nuyten, Willem
Nuyten, Willem in his 91st year passed peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, January 23, 2012. Beloved husband of Nelly (Havermans) of 64 years. Dear father of Veronica (Steve) Konecny, Peter (Flavia) Nuyten, Lia (Floyde) Desjardine, Anita Hodgins (Fred), Gary Nuyten, and Steve Nuyten. Loving grandfather of Shannon (Jen), Renee (Mark), Valerie, Monique (Dale), Jen, Kyle, Tovianne, Rachel and Elizabeth. Will be greatly missed by his great-grandchildren Kyle, Avery, Erin and Matthew. Survived by his brother Peter (Betty) Nuyten (Canada), as well as a brother, sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law in Holland. Friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St.W Strathroy on Friday January 27, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 124 Head St. E, Strathroy on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Lucio Couto officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at Strathroy Hospital for their attentive care. Also a special note of thanks to the kind, caring and compassionate neighbours of Willem and Nelly. Donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

Kovats, Jeannette
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on January 23, 2012 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Jeannette Kovats of Strathroy in her 69th year. Loving mother of Susan (John) Fryer and Jeff Kovats (& friend Laurie). Loved by her grandchildren Alyssa and Regan. Will also be missed by Richard Kovats. Dear sister of Rita (Pete) Walker, Jeannie (Jim) Robinson and Claudia (Elmer) King. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 7 brothers and 5 sisters. Special thanks to Dr. Buma and the nurses of 1 South for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Wednesday, January 25 from 6-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, Strathroy on Thursday, January 26 at 11 AM with Fr. Lucio Couto officiating. Cremation to follow. Boshart, Carl (Buzz)
It is with great sadness the family wishes to announce the passing of Carl (Buzz) Boshart in his 71st year at the family home in Strathroy with Suzanne his loving wife, of 48 years, by his side on January 22, 2012. Loving father of Steven, Dawn, and Dwayne (Tammy). Best Grandpa to Angele', Tyler, Natasha and Kayla, Special Dad to Takisha and Alexis. Brother of Marlene (Gord), Dorene (Carl), Janet (Basil), Norma (Carl), Linda (Murray), Paul (Donna), Ross (Valerie) and Mari-Lou. Predeceased by his parents Elmer and Barbara Boshart, sisters Shirley and Doris Ann. Carl will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Sharon (Robert) Hacala, Brother-in-laws Ted (June) Reeve, Alfred (Marny) Reeve and several nieces and nephews. Thank you Laura for being a special person in his life. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm from the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 152 Albert Street, Strathroy where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at 11:00am with Rev. Peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Orval James Haskell of Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy in his 67th year. Dear brother of David Haskell (Jane) of Tilbury, Guy E. Haskell (Ruth Ann) of Guelph, Fred Haskell, Rose Haskell both of Strathroy, Linda Neitzel (Dave) of New Hamburg, Neil J. Haskell (Angie) of Mississauga, Gloria Ingram (Dan), Sidney Parkins (Patti) and Bruce Parkins (Susie) all of Delhi. Orval is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 1:00pm to 3:30 pm when funeral service will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home Ltd., Strathroy with Pastor Roger Gast officiating. Cremation to follow with interrment in the family plot at Strathroy Cemetery at a later date. Donation in memory of Orval to the Lions Club in support of the blind would be apperciated by the family.

Bannister, Margaret
Peacefully in her 80th year at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Thursday, January 19, 2012. Margaret Anne Bannister of Ailsa Craig. Beloved wife of the late Charles Kenneth (Cap) Bannister (1983). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Charles Edward (Ted) and Maja Bannister, David and Anne Bannister, Douglas and Lin Bannister and William (Bill) and Jana Bannister. Loving grandmother of Sarah and Phil Chisholm, Andrew and Stephanie (Nutt), Robbie, Dan and Shannon, Carlee, Jim and Nissa. Great-grandmother of Sadie Chisholm. Predeceased by her parents George and Isabel Cruickshank and by her sister Dorothy (Dot) and Alan Flynn. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Betty and Base Eberly, George Cruickshank and Judy Guest, and Marion Warren. Much loved by her many nieces and nephews. Margaret was an active partner in the family farm near Nairn, and worked for many years as a nurse at Strathmere Lodge before her retirement. She was a dedicated volunteer in palliative care, an Elder at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Beechwood and a member of the Eastern Star, Parkhill Chapter. Visitation Sunday at the T. Stephenson Funeral Home, 171 Main Street, Ailsa Craig, from 2 p.m. until 6. p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Ailsa Craig Community Centre, 155 Annie Ada Shipley Street, Ailsa Craig, at 11 a.m. with refreshments following. Cremation and private interment service at a later time. Donations in memory of Marg may be made to the VON or Strathroy Middlesex Hospital Foundation.

Perrels, Johanna(Hanny)
On Wednesday January 18, 2012 Johanna Jacoba (Hanny) Perrels (Dekker) at Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Johannes Francis Perrels (1982). Hanny will be mourned by several nephews and nieces in the Netherlands and by her Canadian friends. Born in Zeeland, the Netherlands she came to Sarnia in 1957 and was married to John Perrels in October 1957. After John's retirement they moved to Twin Elm Estate, Strathroy. Hanny was an avid gardener and had a lovely garden while living in Twin Elm Estate. Hanny could be seen riding her bike all through town. In 1996 Hanny sold her home and moved to an apartment then later to Trillium Village, where she lived many happy years. In 2004 she then moved to Strathmere Lodge and 2006 she moved to the newly built Sprucedale Care Centre. In both homes she was lovingly cared for by Doctors and Staff. Hanny was a faithful member and supporter of Strathroy United Church. Hanny was a good friend of my parents and my mother and Hanny shared many a laugh over the years. It was my privilege to share in Hanny's care in her later years. God Speed, Hanny. Your friend Anne Pelkman. A memorial service will take place in the chapel in Sprucedale Care Centre on Tuesday January 24, 2012 at 11:00am with Rev. Julia Sinclair officiating. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Strathroy Cemetery, at a later date.
